Tallflower Creative
Prepared for by Rose Vastola
Tallflower Creative has already established a strong strategic and verbal foundation for the brand.
This project will focus specifically on developing the visual identity—translating the thinking already established into a distinctive, cohesive brand system.
The process will begin with a light review of the existing Tallflower materials before moving directly into visual exploration and identity development.
Create a visual identity that:
- Establishes Tallflower Creative as a cohesive and recognizable studio.
- Translates the existing brand strategy into a clear visual language.
- Balances an elevated, editorial sensibility with personality, playfulness, and experimentation.
- Creates a visual system that feels organic and expressive without becoming overly literal or traditionally feminine.
- Gives the Tallflower team a flexible foundation they can confidently apply across their own client-facing materials, website, social presence, and future brand touchpoints.
- Leaves room for the identity to evolve as the studio grows.
Creative Direction
The identity will explore the visual tension already emerging within Tallflower: refined and playful, structured and organic, restrained and expressive.
Existing ideas such as unusual floral forms, editorial typography, crafted details, expressive imagery, and orange as a central brand color will serve as creative starting points.
The goal is to bring these ideas together into a visual identity that feels distinctly Tallflower.
Scope
01 — Brand Review + Creative Immersion
Review the existing Tallflower brand strategy, positioning, verbal identity, mood boards, references, and visual research.
This phase allows me to fully understand the thinking that has already been established while identifying opportunities for the visual identity.
This is not a new brand strategy phase; rather, it creates the bridge between the existing strategy and the design process.
02 — Visual Identity Exploration
Development of two initial creative directions exploring how the Tallflower identity could come to life.
Explorations include:
- Primary wordmark / logo
- Secondary mark or emblem
- Typography
- Color direction
- Graphic language
- Organic or floral-inspired visual elements
- Texture and image treatment
- Early examples of brand application
The initial presentation will establish distinct possibilities for the identity and create space for us to collaboratively determine the strongest path forward.
03 — Identity Refinement
Once a direction is selected, the visual identity will be refined into a cohesive system.
This phase includes development and refinement of:
- Primary logo / wordmark
- Secondary logo or emblem
- Logo variations
- Typography system
- Final color palette
- Supporting brand elements
- Graphic treatments and/or textures
- Brand application examples

Collaborative Process
Because Tallflower already has a strong strategic and creative point of view, this project will be intentionally collaborative.
Rather than replacing the thinking already developed internally, my role will be to bring a fresh visual perspective, identify opportunities within the existing strategy, and translate those ideas into a distinctive and functional identity system.
The process will still leave room for unexpected ideas and visual discoveries to emerge along the way.
